Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon

this was at the jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. it is one of the biggest glaciers in the world. it covers 8 percent of iceland and guesss what? the trees and bush only cover 3 percent of iceland. the lagoon gets longer each year as the glacier retreats.  last year it melted 600m, normally it melts 100 to 200m.

Iceland — straight from the airport to the Blue Lagoon!

The blue lagoon looked green, but it was still wonderful and warm.  The water is heated from a geothermal spring.
